Weekend Recap

We had a pretty good weekend, it seemed longer than two days and that is usually always nice. Little Man slept in until almost 8am Saturday morning, so I got the treat of doing so also. K and M were supposed to be here this weekend, but K had plans to pick berries to make some money for her appartment and M wanted to hang out with his friends. Can't say I blame him, since he is moving here in three weeks.

So Saturday we got ready and went to the Valley and had lunch at Grandparent H's. Great Hubby and his dad went to a church sale and GH bought himself a mitre saw and three fruit trees, apple we think. These things were quite big, over 4 feet per tree. We left them out of the ground Saturday night to allow time to plan where they were going to be planted. On Sunday, we finally came up with a spot to put one of them, so GH and LM planted the tree while I was mowing the lawn. GH said that LM was helping him, so I said that I would record it as the first time he helped plant a tree. Yay LM!

Sunday was spent with me mowing the lawn and the boys doing other stuff around the yard. GH finally figured out where to put the other two trees (locations changed several times in 24 hours). I did not get the whole yard done, I gave out around 5 or so. Of course it had to be the front that I didn't get to and now it has rained all day, so it is going to be fairly long by the time I get back to it. Hopefully tomorrow will be dry and I will finish it off.

Wow, writing it out like that, it sounds pretty boring, but it wasn't.

Round and round we go....

Well, Little Man is sick again. Now it is a cold that has him coughing, weezing and turned into a little snot factory. He had a slight temperature last Friday night and during the night, his cough showed up. He sounds so bad when he coughs but seems to be doing ok with it. I think he caught it from his cousin J last Sunday when we were at mum's for lunch. The good, but sad, part of it is that he has been so cuddly with me over the last few days! I know, I'm terrible, but it was nice Saturday morning when I got up with him at 5:40 am and went to the couch and we slept there off and on until about 10 am. My punishment for thinking this is an upside? I am now getting my cold back that I thought I was finally getting over.

The next door neighbors have sold their house (YAY!) and have begun to build their new house behind ours (YUCK!). We are still up in the air on what we are going to do, sell or stay. All I know is that if we move now, it is the last move I want to make for quite a few years. I want LM to be able to form memories of his childhood home, not have memories of moving a lot. I don't know if the house we are in now is the house we want to stay in though. The option that we are looking at is so tempting and daunting at the same time, it is hard to know what to do. Do we try to grab what appears to be our dream property and possibly turn it into something great and endure the probable scorn and negativity of the rest of our families(the older kids and both of our mothers) or do we settle for something else to please everyone else? We both think that we should at least follow the dream through to the end, so we don't regret it later.
